Cancellation & Refund Policy
How project cancellations and refund requests are handled
1. Scope
This policy covers website design, Shopify development, multilingual website work and other services supplied by PWT Digital Europe. Your accepted quotation or service agreement may specify additional project-specific cancellation arrangements, subject to applicable law.
2. Before work begins
If you wish to cancel before work starts, contact us promptly. We will review any amounts paid, services already performed, non-refundable third-party purchases made with your agreement, and your applicable legal rights. A deposit is not automatically non-refundable merely because it is called a deposit.
3. After work has started
Where a project is cancelled after work begins, we will provide an explanation of the work completed, agreed expenses incurred and any proposed refund or balance. Any amount retained or payable must be consistent with the contract and applicable consumer law.
4. Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance or off-premises services contract, often within 14 days in applicable UK/EU regimes, subject to specific rules and exceptions. If you expressly ask us to start work during an applicable cancellation period, lawful payment for work performed may be due. Any loss of cancellation rights requires the conditions prescribed by applicable law; it is not automatic. We will provide any required cancellation information and obtain necessary requests or acknowledgements during the ordering process.
5. Business customers
For business-to-business projects, cancellation is governed primarily by the agreed contract and applicable law. We recommend confirming cancellation stages, deposits and milestones in the project proposal before work begins.
6. Third-party services
Domains, hosting, Shopify plans, apps and other external purchases are subject to the third party’s own cancellation and refund rules. We will identify costs that you are asked to authorise separately.
7. Problems with completed work
If you believe the services do not match the agreement or have not been performed with reasonable care and skill, contact us with details. We will review the issue and discuss an appropriate remedy. Statutory remedies are not limited by this policy.
8. How to request cancellation or a refund
Use the contact page and provide your name, project reference if available, the service purchased and the reason for your request. We will review the circumstances and respond with the next steps. Refunds, where due, will be processed using an agreed lawful method.
